Second World Congress on Community Corrections

American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and the International Community Corrections Association (ICCA) would like to share some information regarding the upcoming “Second World Congress on Community Corrections.”

The event is co-hosted by the APPA and the ICCA. The 2nd World Congress on Community Corrections is to be held on July 14-16, 2015 in Los Angeles, CA.

This prestigious event was first introduced in London in 2013, and is being held every other year. The purpose of the conference is to bring together community corrections leadership professionals from all corners of the world to share effective practices, promising initiatives and challenges faced in providing services to those being supervised by justice systems.

The World Congress is by invitation only and will be limited to key representatives from public and private community corrections organizations - probation, parole, pretrial, community corrections programs - from around the world. Attendance will be limited to 250 participants from North America and 250 from other countries.

Congress planners have a strong desire to be as inclusive as possible. To maximize learning opportunities for all participants, the Program Committee reserves the right to select attendees to be as globally representative as possible.

Furthermore, please note the Individuals who are invited to the World Congress are also invited to attend the 40th Annual Training Institute of the American Probation and Parole Association on July 12-15, 2015 at a discounted rate. The cost associated to attend one or both events are as follows:

* World Congress Registration Fee - $400
* 40th APPA Training Institute Registration Fee - $340 for members/$400 non-member
* World Congress/APPA Conference Combo Registration Fee - $590 for APPA members or $650 for non-members.
