CEP: The European Organisation for Probation

Codru Hotel, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova
The aim is to promote the rights of the persons in conflict with the law to an alternative punishment to prison such as Community Sanctions, and the benefits for the society and the probation subjects.

The main purpose is to facilitate the exchange of good practices and experience between countries.

The main topics to be discussed are:

- challenges of implementing community sanctions for special health groups;
- collaboration and policy transfer of community sanctions between East and Western European countries;
- procedures and methodologies used for implementing community sanctions in the Eastern European Region.

The working language of the conference is English. Romanian and Russian interpretation will be provided.

Prisons and Correctional Facilities Summit

Washington DC Metro Area
The event will take place in the Washington D.C. Metro Area, and will feature a site tour to a local detention facility and two main event conference days. We will be hosting 80-100 corrections experts from around the country working in all aspects of the community.

This event will set the stage for an intuitive and in depth focus on the next generation of Prisons and Correctional Facilities.

11th Biennial International Conference

John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York, in collaboration with the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) at the Greek Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection, will host its 11th Biennial International Conference in Athens, Greece, from June 11 to June 14, 2014.

The theme of the conference is The Rule of Law in an Era of Change: Security, Social Justice and Inclusive Governance.
